Join us at Little Rec for a fun afternoon of golf.
We don't want to hear..."I don't play." "I play only once a year."
"It cost too much.." or anything similar. Little Rec can be played
by even a non-golfer. We are going to be closing the course so our group will be the only ones on the course. We have a shotgun
start at 3:00PM. Arrive early about Noon, enjoy a B.B.Q. Lunch in the park by Bruin Den. Then we will walk across the street and play at 3:00PM. For $40.00 you get Lunch, Golf, a Shirt, and a chance to win some cash on the course.
We will play a three player scramble format. We are hoping each team will consist of 2 guys and 1 girl each. Everyone can play this course, plus ladies, you have a year to hit the range a few times. So please make it a point to join us....(Call Beno, he is offering "swing" lessons to all interested gals...)
Proposed Format:
Three player team scramble:
(Shotgun start: Two teams on each hole.... sixsomes)
All players will tee off (Men from the White tees, Ladies from the Red tees)
The best of the three tee shots will be determined, and all three players will now play the second shot from within a club length of the best tee shot. This will continue in the same fashion until the ball is in the hole.
A shot chosen to be used from a bunker must be played from the bunker.
At least one tee shot from each team member must be utilized by the team sometime during the round.
Mulligans: Each player has one mulligan that can be used at anytime throughout the round. A second additional mulligan can be purchased at the golf course on tournament day for $5.00. No player can have more than two total mulligans for the round.
Jackpot Money: All par threes will be Jackpot holes. The player with the shot closest to the pin will collect $1.00 per entered player...(min. $72.00 - Max. $108.00) will be paid on all 5 par three holes.
Longest Drives: Prizes will be awarded for longest men's drive on #5 and longest ladies drive on #7. The team does not need to utilize these shots as team shots for the player to be eligible to win.
Prizes: Prizes are yet to be determined and will be supplied based on total order entries and budget. Best prizes will be awarded to the 4th place and 9th place teams to insure no sandbagging of the teams.
